A rather clever launch from Trinny London, and just in time for summer – Trinity Multitasking Sticks (€44 from Brown Thomas) are a stroke of genius from Trinny Woodall’s beauty brand. There are three to choose from, each with two shades: one matte and one shimmer. The colours can be used in a variety of ways – on the lips, cheeks, eyes, or however you see fit.
There’s something joyful about using them, a kind of happy smugness that comes from ticking off three make-up steps with just one (brilliant) product. I also love the fling-in-your-bag, pen-style packaging.
Lisa Eldridge Seamless Glide Eye Pencil in Burnt Umber
There are cool, creamy eye pencils, and then there are the truly standout ones, like Seamless Glide Eye Pencils (€29 from lisaeldridge.com) from Lisa Eldridge. The most recent addition to the range is Burnt Umber – a rich, burnished, bronzy-brown. The shade is truly unique: deep, warm, almost red when you look closely. It’s a real head-turner. The formula is rich, creamy, and blends beautifully, regardless of whether you smudge with your fingers or a brush. Ten out of 10 on every front.
Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint
I like to consider myself an expert when it comes to tinted moisturisers (or “skin tints” as they’re commonly called these days). The latest addition to my make-up bag is one such product – Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint (€48 from Cult Beauty). While it’s not brand new, it’s still worthy of inclusion on this list, thanks to its beautifully light, moisturising formula. It provides just enough coverage to even out your skin tone while giving your complexion a dramatic glow. If you’re looking for a throw-on-and-go base that feels as good as it makes your skin look, this is a great option. The palm-sized packaging is perfect for travel too.

If you’re into extremely voluminous lashes like I am, an extra coat or two won’t hurt, as it’s not dramatically volumising at first swipe, but still a great formula. Cleverly, it’s also refillable, so you can keep your big, stylish gold tube and simply purchase a refill every couple of weeks or months, as needed (the refill will set you back 32 per cent less than buying a new one).
Charlotte Tilbury Naughty Talk Lipstick
One of four new lipsticks recently added to Charlotte Tilbury’s bestselling Pillow Talk range, there’s one shade I particularly feel the need to rave about because it truly flatters everyone. Nobody does complexion-lifting lipsticks quite like Charlotte Tilbury. Pillow Talk Naughty Talk Lipstick (€37 from Brown Thomas) is a cool-toned, instantly refreshing neutral pink. And it’s slightly more pink than neutral, which is important, as sometimes too-nude hues can look flat and dull. It’s the shade worn by Kim Cattrall in the latest Pillow Talk campaign. If you’re in the market for a new everyday lipstick, this is it.
