Are you a survivor of sexual assault? Would you like to share your story?

Josepha Madigan has sparked a conversation on sexual assault. Have you a story to share?

Minister of State for Education Josepha Madigan has sparked a conversation by speaking in the Dáil about being a survivor of sexual assault.

During a Dáil debate on action to tackle sexual, domestic and gender-based violence, Madigan said she was old enough to know there are very few women her age (51) who have not been subjected to some form of sexual assault in their lifetimes.

“I know this because I am one of them. It will not come as a surprise to those of us of a similar age who have suffered this trauma. Sometimes, we have suffered it more than once. It was, and is, a lot more common than many believe.”

Would you consider sharing your personal experience of sexual assault?
