The cycling tour operator On Your Bike is organising Cycle Challenge West, a day of scenic cycling in the beautiful countryside surrounding Westport next Sunday. There are three routes to choose from, with distances of 50km, 100km or 150km – all three start and finish in Westport. Entry costs €40, €45 or €50, depending on the distance, and the fee gets you a T-shirt, goody bag, refreshments during the event, use of changing and shower facilities and a hot meal in the farmyard in the grounds of Westport House.
