The NCAD (National College of Art and Design) (01 6364200) graduate show is always fertile hunting ground for unique pieces by soon-to-be-discovered talent. This is art without gallery commissions.
Sinead Glynn’s sculptural forms explore molecule and DNA forms and use slip castings and Raku firings to create a surface finish that is as unique as a finger print.
These small pieces will fit into any home and would look wonderful set into a downlit niche. Glynn’s prices are from €250-€400. For further details or to contact the artist see www.sg-ceramics.webs.com.
The graduate show continues at NCAD on Dublin’s Thomas Street until Sunday. The exhibition is open to the public from 10am-8pm today and tomorrow, 10am-5pm on Saturday and 2pm-5pm on Sunday.
