Stafford departs SherryFitz for similar role at DNG

With the busy sales season rumbling on, there’s still plenty of movement out there with new appointments being made and personnel jumping from one agency to another.

The latest news is that Mark Stafford has been appointed director of business development at DNG.

Apparently the title means he will manage and develop DNG’s client services department. He should be well qualified to do so given that he has just vacated the same role at Sherry FitzGerald where he has worked since 2005.

It’s a departure into a new way of doing business for DNG, though the notion is a familiar one that originated in London. Pioneered by Marsh & Parsons over there, Sherry FitzGerald introduced a client services department to its business in recent years.

The role involves nurturing the client database and keeping up contact with previous vendors and buyers, tapping into where they’re at and possibly developing new leads. It underscores DNG’s ongoing push to increase its share of the residential market.

Commenting on the move Stafford said: “I have always admired DNG especially in the last number of years where the agency has ramped up its Dublin business and nationwide presence.”
