SOUTH DUBLIN

DECISION TO GRANT

Location: site at the junction of Belgard Road and Blessington Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24. Proposed development:mixed-use development of five to 6.5 storeys. Ground floor element consists the construction of a retail unit, a two-storey retail unit with offices, and a two-storey crèche. The upper floor consists of three to four floors of apartments with 42 three-bedroom units, 118 two-bedroom units and 63 one-bedroom units giving a total of 223 apartments of which 15 per cent will be offered as social/affordable accommodation. Residents laundry room, children's play room, a 200-space Luas park and ride car-parking facility located at basement level and a further basement level-two car-park providing 223 residential car-parking spaces and 91 public car-parking spaces of which 150 spaces are relocated from the existing car-parking provision, 12 commercial car-parking spaces and three drop-off spaces at surface level. Location: site at the Esker Road, Lucan, Co Dublin accessed from Moy Glas Estate and existing entrance from Esker Road discontinued. Proposed development:two two-storey apartment blocks of 16 two-bedroom units with 39 surface car-parking spaces and associated site works. Applicant: H & H Developments Ltd.

Location: Cornerpark, Newcastle, Co Dublin. Proposed development:67 residential units (20 semi-detached houses, 34 terraced houses and 13 own-door apartments) with 98 car-parking spaces. Applicant: Opus Developments Ltd.

DÚN LAOGHAIRE RATHDOWN

Location: Claremont House, off Cornelscourt Hill Road, Carrickmines, Dublin 18. Proposed development: refurbish house, including the demolition of single storey kitchen extension and the addition of a new single storey kitchen extension in a new location. The garage and other buildings located on the western (road) boundary of the courtyard are to be demolished. The gate-lodge is to be refurbished and extended so that it will become a three-bedroom private dwelling, walled garden to be repaired where necessary and retained as public open space. Demolish gate-lodge to St Bernards. Construct 25 additional dwellings with the grounds of Claremont and St Bernards consisting of four semi-detached three-bedroom houses, two detached four-bedroom houses and 19 five-bedroom detached houses. Access to the proposed development will be via an upgraded access point at the existing access to Claremont House off Cornelscourt Hill Road/Claremont Road and will require the demolition and reconstruction of the front boundary wall at the adjoining property Eventide. Location: Smyths Pub (protected structure), 128 George's Street Lower, Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin. Proposed development: refurbish front portion of the bar, including cleaning and re-pointing of brickwork, and the demolition of the rear structures to allow for construction of four-storey apartment building fronting onto Callaghan's Lane. The development will consist of 12 apartments (four one-bed, four two-bed, two three-bed and two three-bed units) with nine underground car-parking spaces. Applicant: KBK Properties Ltd.

Proposed development: demolish 84 Beaumont Avenue and a single storey lean-to conservatory attaching to Mountainview House and derelict outbuildings. Erect a single storey conservatory to replace the existing to the rear, erect three terraced townhouses, 12 apartments, underground car-parking, associated landscaping and site works. DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL

Location: Shelbourne Hotel, 27-34 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2. Proposed development: Internal alterations to consist of the demolition and removal of 1960s service stairs on two levels. Construct minor internal alterations to provide direct access link from hotel reception to ballroom, improve disabled access and fire escape routes, new service corridor link at upper ballroom level. Location: St Mary's Church, Mary Street, Dublin 1. Proposed development: glass wind lobby inside the north-east doorway of St Mary's Church. The lobby will consist of floor-to-ceiling glazing with glazed double doors. The lobby will be anchored at ceiling and floor points and will not touch the walls of the protected structure. Applicant: Sauceboat Ltd.

Location: 41 and 41A and part of plot of Bon Secours Hospital, Glasnevin Hill, Glasnevin, Dublin 11. Proposed development: three-storey private consultants clinic incorporating 18 suites situated in north and south wings and a coffee area with associated car-parking and landscaping. The proposal includes the demolition of the existing two-storey apartment block and retail units situated at 41 and 41A Glasnevin Hill. Applicant: Bon Secours Health System Ltd.

Location: junction of the Ballymun Road and Santry Avenue, Ballymun, Dublin 9. Proposed development: mixed-use scheme with 2,801sq m (30,150sq ft) in one five-storey block with a six-storey corner element. The development will comprise five retail/service units and 26 apartments (10 one-bedroom units and 16 two-bedroom units), site development works and landscaping. This development forms part of a larger mixed-use scheme (Reg Ref F05A/1510). The remainder of the mixed-use scheme, which is to be located on a neighbouring site, has 28,686sq m (308,773sq ft) and comprises a total of 222 apartments, 15 retail/service units, a health and fitness centre, bar/restaurant, a food court, crèche, 10 own-door offices, four enterprise training units and 556 car-parking spaces at basement level.
