HOUSEHUNTERS who want to get away from it all, and keep a pony or two out the back should head for Dunlavin, Co Wicklow, where Jordan Auctioneers is asking €800,000 for a pretty house with a small equestrian centre on 3.26 acres. Bonaltra is around 1.6 miles from Dunlavin village, near Rathsallagh golf club and hotel. The 211sq m (2,250sq ft) house has been refurbished recently and there is also a two-bedroom staff apartment. There are several outbuildings including stabling and storage.

On view Saturday, 2pm-3pm

ASKING €760,000 through Savills, 60 Beechpark Drive is a detached four-bedroom house in a mature estate in Foxrock that’s ideal for families with young children. There is a large open green at the heart of the estate that is far more generous than those found in modern developments, and the houses are set back from the road with good gardens front and back.

ON VIEW FOR the first time this weekend in Rathmines is a classic terraced Victorian house at 22 Richmond Hill, off Mountpleasant Avenue. The five-bedroom house is asking €925,000 through Savills. It is larger than it looks with 239sq m (2,577sq ft) of living space, with three of the bedrooms on the ground floor.

There are two good interconnecting reception rooms at hall level, while the kitchen is a long room on the return overlooking the split-level back garden which has been paved and gravelled.

On view Saturday, 3pm-4pm

IN BOOTERSTOWN, a three-bedroom semi at 67 Trimleston Park is on the market at €580,000 through Knight Frank. It’s a modest house of 133sq m (1,430sq ft) with some potential to extend at the back – where the garden is around 45ft long – or to the side, where there is a small garage.

On view Saturday, noon-1pm

IN DUBLIN 8, Felicity Fox is asking €375,000 for a terraced two-bedroom house at 45 Reuben Street in Rialto within a few minutes walk of the Luas. It’s a deceptively spacious house with around 87sq m (939sq ft) of living space, that includes two separate reception rooms and a long kitchen-cum-diningroom at the back of the house. The garden is a good size and is low maintenance.

TWO ADJOINING properties with development potential in Ringsend have had their prices substantially reduced since first going on the market over a year ago. Numbers 45a and 45b Pigeon House Road are very different houses – one is a cottage, one a modern three-bedroom house – but both stand on around 0.25 acres and so together provide plenty of potential.

They are on sale through Douglas Newman Good at €495,000 for the cottage and €710,000 for the house. Last year, the two houses were expected to make €2.5 million.

The owners suggest that six houses could be built on the land.

On view Saturday, 1.30pm-2.30pm
