The number of housing sites coming on the market in the greater Dublin area is increasing by the week as vendors move in the hope of cashing in on the high prices that have been available in recent months. There are already signs that prices are easing not only on account of the greater choice available but also because of the Government dictat that 20 per cent of the units must be set aside for social housing. One of the best sites coming on the market this week is at Esker Road in Lucan, Co. Dublin, where Lisney is to auction a modern bungalow on 5.5 acres. It is likely to make in excess of £3 million. The immediate area has been substantially redeveloped in recent years with new schools, housing and shopping facilities. The vendors have prepared a plan for 54 two-bedroom apartments, plus 28 three-bed and four-bed houses.
