Donabate: from €320,000: A development of traditional houses goes on the market this weekend

A village atmosphere is promised for Corrs Mill, a new development of three, four and five-bedroom homes to be built near the seaside at Donabate.

Sales of these homes, which range from €320,000 for a three- bedroom mid-terrace up to €650,000 for a five-bedroom detached house, are underway off the plans this weekend through Douglas Newman Good New Homes.

Corrs Mill is the latest development of family houses by builder Charles Gallagher Ltd.

The new development is located next to Somerton, completed some time ago by the same company.

The new scheme comprises a mix of three-bedroom mid and end-terrace units, four-bedroom semi-detached homes and detached five-bedroom units with garage.

The two larger configurations have a double driveway to the front and will overlook a green area.

The three-bedroom homes will be set out in quiet cul-de-sacs and will have a landscaped area to the front with ample parking areas adjacent to these houses.

Mid-terrace units with about 93 sq m (1,000 sq ft) are priced from €320,000 and larger end terrace homes of about 118 sq m (1,275 sq ft) cost from €337,500.

The four-bedroom homes at 124 sq m (1,340 sq ft) cost from €415,000 and the five-bedroom homes, with 176 sq m (1,900 sq ft) of living space, cost from €650,000.

Standard features include a generous fireplace allowance, attractive fitted kitchens and wardrobes and tiling allowance. All have a good-sized seeded garden to the rear divided by wooden fences.

They feature gas-fired central heating, double glazing, recessed lighting in pine ceilings over the breakfast area in end-of-terrace homes and an attractive brick façade.

There is a downstairs toilet and an en suite off the main bathroom. Kitchens are plumbed for dishwasher and washing machine and there is a utility room.

Homes are wired for alarms and there are panelled internal doors.

There are hardwood side gates fitted in end-of-terrace homes. All homes are painted magnolia throughout.

The site is only minutes from the picturesque seaside village of Donabate, but the area is well served by shops, a supermarket, restaurants and pubs. There are crèche facilities close by and schools, a sports/community centre and golf clubs.

There are a variety of transport options to the capital, either by car via the nearby M1, train direct to Connolly Station from the Donabate station or bus.

The sales office is located in number 2 Somerton, Donabate. Completions are expected from July through November.
