THE fast-food operator, McDonalds, has paid about £100,000 for a half-acre site beside Blanchardstown Town Centre. McDonalds is currently seeking planning permission for a 2,500-square-foot drive-through restaurant. The company will also have a second restaurant of 5,800 square feet in the new centre. McDonalds is planning to open nine restaurants in the Republic over the next year.
