Apartment-hunters can take comfort in the fact that there is a variety of choice around the city, with a few prices at first-time buyer levels. In a popular city-centre location at Custom House Square, Douglas Newman Good's one-bedroom units are selling for £139,950 (€177,700) and two-beds for £164,950 (€209,440). Ten two- and three-bedroom penthouses start at £340,000 (€431,710).
Around the corner on Grenville Street, off Mountjoy Square, Hooke & MacDonald is handling sales in Temple Place where one-bedroom apartments are starting at £129,950 (€165,000).
Still reasonably close to the centre of town, Ross McParland has 18 two-beds for sale at Grattan Hall, Upper Mount Street from £155,000 (€196,810) and there are still a few one-and two-bedroom units available at Finnegan Menton's Hampton Square scheme on Navan Road from £149,950 (€190,400). The last couple of apartments at Charlotte Quay in Ringsend are on the market with Hooke & MacDonald - a two-bed going for £215,000 (€272,990) and a three-bed for £260,000 (€330,130).
The same agent is selling units at The Tramyard, Inchicore, with one-beds from £128,950 (€163,730) and two-beds from £149,950 (€190,400). At the St James's Wood scheme on South Circular Road, the last few three-bedroom apartments are available through Hooke and MacDonald from £229,950 (€291,980).
Further out but still within easy reach of the city and not beyond the reach of first-timers, Douglas Newman Good is selling Knockmaree at Chapelizod from plans from £139,000 (€176,490) to £210,000 (€266,640) for one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Hooke & MacDonald has some two-beds left at Heath Square in Finglas village from £149,950 (€190,400). This agent is also selling one- and two-bedroom units off plans at Killininny Court, Firhouse, from £132,000 (€167,610).
Go the extra few miles out to Carnegie Court in Swords and you can buy a one-bedroom apartment from £129,500 (€164,430) and a two-bedroom unit from £159,500 (€202,520) through Ross McParland. For deeper pockets, DNG is selling the last two apartments at Ellier Development's stylish Corr Castle scheme at Sutton - 1,006 sq ft two-bedroom units - at £325,000 (€412,660) and £400,000 (€507,900). Hamilton Osborne King has six two-beds at Riverpark, beside the Phoenix Park, from £180,000 (€228,550) and one stunning 2,500 sq ft three-bedroom penthouse at Mount St Annes in Milltown, with an asking price of £1.5 million (€1.9m).
Ross McParland has one- and two-bedroom apartments still available at Dun Laoghaire's Pavilion scheme, from £225,000 (€285,690) and £265,000 (€336,480) and two fabulous penthouses for £1.25 million (€1.58 million) and £1.4 million (€1.78 million).
