A German bank has reserved the top floor of an office block being developed over Connolly Railway Station. The scheme will form part of the International Financial Services Centre in Dublin. The bank will be paying a rent of £30 per sq ft for 9,000 sq ft of space in Enterprise House, a 30,000 sq ft building on three levels. The high specification facilities will include air conditioning, raised access platform floors and triple glazing. There will be 50 car-parking spaces. Willy Dowling of letting agents Gunne says there is considerable interest in the remaining space.
Padraig Burke's company, Lowstrand Properties, which is building Enterprise House, will be sharing the rental income with CIE and the Dublin Docklands Development Authority. The two State agencies will share about one-sixth of the projected rental income for a period of 200 years, subject to five-yearly upwards-only rent reviews.
