Four-bed house on 1.4 acres in Castleknock makes £1.6 million

Two northside houses with development potential fetched the highest prices at auction this week. In Castleknock, Dublin 15 Lisney secured £1.6 million after auction for Clovers, on Beechpark Avenue, a four-bedroom detached house on 1.4 acres with development potential.

Meanwhile in Malahide, Gunne Residential fetched £1.65 million at auction for Greenfield at Streamstown, a three-bedroom bungalow standing on three acres with significant scope for development. In Sutton, Ritaville, at 182 Howth Road, a four-bedroom detached house, made £560,000 at a Sherry FitzGerald auction.

A three-bed semi-detached house at 17 Maywood Avenue, Raheny, was withdrawn by Flynn & Associates which is quoting £260,000.

Off the Howth Road, in Dublin 3, 140 Brookwood Avenue, a sixbedroom dormer bungalow was fetched £385,000 through Gunne Residential.

In Clontarf, 213 Vernon Avenue, a three-bed detached bungalow, Dunally, was sold at a Jackson-Stops auction for £501,000.

Nearby, a three-bedroom semidetached house at 24 Kincora Park made £365,000 through Gunne Residential.

A four-bedroom detached house at 3 Mount Prospect Avenue was sold under the hammer for £455,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

Also in Clontarf, 74 The Stiles Road, a four-bedroom semi-detached house, was sold prior to auction by Jackson-Stops.

In Drumcondra, Dublin 9, 7 Grace Park Gardens, a threestorey period house currently in use as a B&B, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is seeking £475,000.

Nearby at 41 Calderwood Road, a four-bedroom semi-detached house fetched £262,500 through Sherry FitzGerald. In Skerries, 116 Downside, a four-bed semi-detached house, fetched £236,000 through Douglas Newman Good.

South Dublin

In Dalkey, Lisney fetched a strong price of £925,000 for 21 Knocknacree Park, a four-bedroom house in very good decorative order.

A five-bedroom semi-detached house, Killaster, on Saval Park Road, Dalkey, was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £495,000.

Elsewhere in Dalkey, a three-bedroom bungalow, Assisi, on Sorrento Road, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £350,000.

Also in Dalkey, 6 Ardbrugh Close, a four-bedroom house, was withdrawn at £540,000 and sold later for a higher price through Sherry FitzGerald.

Meanwhile, Lanoke, a four-bedroom detached house on Ard Mhuire Park, Dalkey, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £495,000.

In Killiney, Lisney fetched £610,000 for Highfield, a four-bed detached house on Church Road.

Gunne Residential is seeking about £465,000 for Daum, a five-bedroom detached house at Coundon Court, Killiney, following its withdrawal from auction.

In Dun Laoghaire, 3 Granite Hall, a four-bedroom bungalow, was sold prior to auction for well over the guide price of £340,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

In Monkstown, a four-bedroom period house at 3 Belgrave Terrace was withdrawn at £500,000 and sold later for a higher price through Lisney.

A three-bed townhouse at 3 Arundel, in Monkstown Valley, was sold prior to auction for over the guide price of £330,000 by Wyse & Co.

Also in Monkstown, 8 Eaton Square, a five-bed semi-detached house, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £750,000.

In Blackrock, a four-bedroom end of terrace period house at 16 Sydney Avenue, was sold prior to auction for well in excess of £750,000 by Hamilton Osborne King.

Also in Blackrock, 26 Carysfort Downs, a four-bedroom detached house, was sold at a Lisney auction for £510,000.

On Grove Avenue, Judeville, a five-bedroom bungalow on 0.33 acres, was withdrawn by Hamilton Osborne King, which is quoting £925,000.

A four-bedroom semi-detached house at 3 Wynberg Park was withdrawn by Tom O'Higgins.

A four-bedroom detached house at 49 Granville Park was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is seeking £515,000.

Still in Blackrock, 3 Stillorgan Park, a three-bedroom semi-detached house, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is seeking £525,000.

Lisney is seeking £360,000 for 3 Cedarmount Road, Mount Merrion, a three-bedroom semidetached house, following its withdrawal from auction yesterday.

In Booterstown, 2 Grotto Place, a three-bed end-of-terrace house, was withdrawn and sold later for £330,000 through Gunne Residential.

Daphne L Kaye & Associates fetched £730,000 at auction for a five-bedroom detached house at 58 Lambourne Wood, Brennanstown Road, Dublin 18.

Elsewhere in Dublin 18, 3 Kerrymount Rise, Foxrock, a three-bedroom detached house, was sold at auction for £486,000 by Daphne L Kaye & Associates.

A four-bedroom bungalow at 50 Whitehall Road, Dublin 12, was withdrawn at £340,000 by Gunne Residential, which is seeking £380,000.

In Glencullen, Co Dublin, a four-bedroom bungalow on 3.65 acres, Rathmore, Bridge Road, was sold at auction for £585,000 by Daphne L Kaye & Associates.

Dublin 2 and 4

A three-bedroom semi-detached house at 28 St Alban's Park, Sandymount, has been sold prior to auction for a price believed to be over £600,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

Nearby, 28 Merrion Strand, a three-bed townhouse, was withdrawn by Douglas Newman Good, which is quoting £380,000.

A two-bedroom cottage at 19 Margaret Place, off Bath Avenue, was sold at auction for £290,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

In Rathgar, a large five-bedroom two-storey over garden level period house, Stirling, at 75 Kenilworth Square, was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £1.5 million.

A three-bedroom mid-terrace house at 40 Dartmouth Square made £907,500 at a Sherry FitzGerald auction.

In Dartry, a five-bedroom Victorian semi-detached house, Bramleigh, at 29 St Kevin's Park, fetched £1.6 million through Lisney.

Highview, a four/five-bedroom detached house on Orwell Road, was sold after auction for over £700,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

At 16 Garville Road, a terraced house in four units was withdrawn at £300,000 by Harper O'Grady, which is seeking £375,000.

Still in Rathgar, 32 Spireview, a four-bed townhouse, was sold at a Gunne Residential auction for £342,000.

Sleepy Hollow, at a four-bedroom detached house Temple Villas, Palmerston Road, was withdrawn by Lisney, which is now quoting £685,000.

In Rathmines, 153 Leinster Road, a terraced house in four units, was sold prior to auction for a price thought to be over £450,000 by Hamilton Osborne King.

Still in Rathmines, 1 Castlewood Park, a four-bedroom detached house, is for sale at £550,000 following its withdrawal from auction by Lisney.

Lisney is seeking £320,000 for 12 Parkview Avenue, a three-bed mid-terrace house in Harold's Cross, after it failed to sell at auction.

In Kimmage, 293 & 293a Kimmage Road, a period house in two apartments, was withdrawn by Gunne Residential and is under negotiation. Also in Kimmage, 4 Poddle Park, a two-bed semi-detached house, was withdrawn by Douglas Newman Good, which is quoting £200,000.

In Terenure, 18 Terenure Park, a six-bedroom end-of-terrace house, was withdrawn at £450,000 and sold later for a higher price through Lisney.

Elsewhere in Dublin 6, Sherry FitzGerald is seeking £375,000 for 24 Ramleh Park, a three-bedroom detached house in Milltown, after it failed to sell at auction.

A villa-style two-bedroom house at 16 Lower Beechwood Avenue, Ranelagh, fetched £392,000 through Hamilton Osborne King. Also in Ranelagh, 5 Kileen Road, a three-bed period house, made £272,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

A two-bedroom mid-terrace house at 34 Warren Street, Portobello, Dublin 8, was withdrawn by Douglas Newman Good, which is seeking £250,000.

Dublin 14 and 16

A three-bedroom detached house, Norwood, on Wynnsward Park, Clonskeagh, was withdrawn at £750,000 and sold later for over £800,000 by Lisney.

Also in Clonskeagh, a three-bed semi-detached house at 25 Laburnum Road fetched £356,000 through Lisney. Lisney secured over £370,000 after auction for a two-bedroom bungalow at 37 Woodlawn Park, Churchtown, Dublin 14.

A four-bedroom detached house, Karlin, at Upper Churchtown Road, was withdrawn by Lisney with a quoting price of £450,000.

Still in Churchtown, Verona Villa, at 26 Lower Churchtown Road, was withdrawn at £250,000 and sold later for a higher price by Harper O'Grady. A four-bedroom bungalow, The Cottage, at 18a Willbrook Road, Rathfarnham, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald.

Wicklow

In Bray, Lisney fetched £620,000 for Pembroke Lodge, a six-bedroom Victorian house on Church Road. A four-bedroom detached house on an acre, Poolnarooma, at Rocky Valley, Kilmacanogue, fetched £630,000 through Druker Fanning and Partners.

Also in Kilmacanogue, Quill Beag, a three-bedroom bungalow on 0.5 acres on Quill Road, was withdrawn by Lisney, which is seeking £348,000.

In Greystones, a three-bedroom bungalow, Cheyham, at Manor Avenue, was sold after auction for over the guide price of £350,000 by Ganly Walters.

A four-bedroom bungalow at 89 The Briary, Blainroe, was sold at auction for £330,000 by Lisney.

A three-bedroom cottage on an acre, Park Lodge, at Slade Valley was sold at Sherry FitzGerald auction for £226,500.

Provincial

In Athy, Co Kildare, Bert House, a large period house on seven acres, was withdrawn by Ganly Walters, which is quoting over £850,000.

A six-bedroom Georgian house, Millicent, in Sallins, Co Kildare, was withdrawn and is under negotiation through Hamilton Osborne King.

Elsewhere in Co Kildare, Coonan auctioned a property at Grangebeg, Brannockstown, Naas in two lots. Lot 1: 50 acres sold for £510,000. Lot 2: a cottage on 12 acres was withdrawn at £160,000 and is under negotiation.

Still in Naas, Pluirin, a fourbed bungalow on 0.33 acres on St Joseph's Road, was withdrawn at £232,000 and is under negotiation with Colm McEvoy.

Also near Naas, a three-bedroom house, Graigues, at Robertstown, was sold at auction for £270,000 through Colm McEvoy.

In Kilcullen, Bushfield Stud, on 30 acres at Calvertstown, was sold at auction for £590,000 through Jordan.

A two-bedroom cottage on 2.50 acres at Ballybarney, Narraghmore, was sold at auction for £190,000 through Andrew J. Nolan.

Still in Co Kildare, Oakley House, a four-bedroom period house in Rathangan, was withdrawn by Gunne Residential, which is quoting £420,000.

In Co Meath, 10 Growtown, a six-bed bungalow on 0.5 acres in Dunshaughlin, was withdrawn at £300,000 by Raymond Potterton.

Elsewhere in Meath, 4.75 acres at Reillys, Hill of Skryne, Tara, was sold at auction for £105,000 through Ronald Duff & Associates.

In Slane, Coonan auctioned 53 acres with a cottage at Collon North in three lots. Lot 1: the cottage on 13.5 acres was withdrawn at £100,000 and quoting £140,000. Lot 2: 11 acres was withdrawn at £45,000 and sold later. Lot 3: 28 acres was withdrawn at £100,000 and now quoting £140,000. In Drogheda, Co Louth, a Victorian school at the Cairnes Hall, St Mary's Street, fetched £170,000 through Ganly Walters.

In Wexford, Sunbury, a four-bedroom house on an acre at Ferrybank, was withdrawn at £250,000 and sold later for a higher price through Kehoe & Associates.

In Co Cork, Jackson-Stops sold Loughananna House, at Kilbehenny, Mitchelstown, at auction for £440,000. The six-bedroom period house stands on 16 acres. In Co Galway, St Michael's, a four-bedroom detached house, in Oughterard, fetched £246,000 through O'Donnellan & Joyce.

Commercial

In Donnybrook, a retail/office end-of-terrace building at 2 Main Street was sold at auction for £1.75 million through North & Co.

A retail premises at 3 Cecilia Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, was withdrawn by Douglas Newman Good, which is quoting £775,000.

Also in Dublin 2, The Trinity public house, at 37b Pearse Street, was withdrawn by John Younge.

A retail outlet at 13 Stoneybatter, Dublin 7, was sold at auction for £380,000 by North & Co.

In Dublin 8, 382 South Circular Road, an off-licence premises, was withdrawn at £500,000 by McNally Handy & Partners, which is quoting £650,000.

A 20.6-acre site with mainly residential zoning on Dublin Road, Lusk, Co Dublin, was withdrawn at £2.5 million and sold later for a higher price by Douglas Newman Good.

In Skerries, 10 acres of land zoned amenity usage at Holmpatrick were sold at auction for £290,000 by Toole McKay. In Navan, Co Meath, a 6.15 acre commercial site with planning permission for a car sales outlet and 23 light industrial units at Bailis Roundabout, Athlumney, fetched £3.35 million. through Raymond Potterton.

A nursing home property, Navan Nursing Home, Navan, Co Meath, was withdrawn at £775,000 by joint agents Hamilton Osborne King and Smiths.

In Co Kildare, the 78-acre Pine Trees Golf Course, at Kilmurray, Clane, was withdrawn at £670,000 and is under negotiation through Colm McEvoy.

A residential/retail property, Newmans Grocery Store, at 65 JKL Street, Edenderry, Co Offaly, was withdrawn at £300,000 and is under negotiation through Colm McEvoy.

In Kilkenny, The Italian Connection restaurant, Parliament Street, was withdrawn at £715,000 and is under negotiation with David Hughes.

A commercial/residential development site at Prospect Hill, Galway, was sold at auction for £1.4 million by O'Donnellan Joyce.

Also in Galway, the same agent withdrew a commercial property at 33 Eyre Street at £350,000. It is currently under negotiation. In Co Cork, O'Mahonys Quick Pick newsagents, Bantry, was sold at auction for £605,000 through Clonakilty agent Henry O'Leary.
