Saturday, September 7th – Woodward Auctioneers, Cook Street, Cork. Contents of Modeligo, the property owned by former TD and mayor of Cork Michael Sheehan, to include a set of six Cork dining chairs by O'Connell's of Lavitts Quay (€2,000-€3,000), Sheraton-style inlaid credenza (€1,000–€1,500), Georgian walnut chest on stand (€1,200–€2,000), and Sheraton inlaid corner display cabinet (€1,000–€1,500).

Sunday, September 8th – Adams, St Stephen's Green. At Home sale, to include almost 500 lots, with a large selection of mirrors, Boulle work and period furniture.

Monday, September 9th – Milltown Auction Rooms, Dromiskin, Co Louth. Contents of period houses in Cootehill and Blackrock, to include a Georgian stick barometer by Spencer & Son Dublin (€400-€500), campaign writing desk (€300-€400), Victorian walnut sewing/games table (€400-€500), enamel Gold Flake sign (€200-€400), Georgian pine wardrobe (€400-€500), Woodbine double-sided sign (€200-€300), period elephant footstool/drinks cabinet (€200-€300) and Victorian walnut foldover card table (€400-€600).


Tuesday, September 10th – Adam's Blackrock. Interiors and Fine Art Auction, to include Percy French's Peat Stacks at Evening, Connemara (€900-€1,200), 19th-century oval Irish mirror with alternating blue- and white-faceted studs (€1,000-€1,500), Regency rosewood and brass mounted circular dining table (€1,800-€2,500), Irish silver soup ladle with bright cut engraving, Cork circa 1800, by John Nicholson (€800-€1,200).

Tuesday, September 10th – Sotheby's London. Made in Britain sale, to include works owned by Irish collectors Patrick and Antoinette Murphy. For sale are Three Ideas for Sculpture, a watercolour by Henry Moore (£20,000-£30,000), Jungle Bird, a sculpture by Breon O'Casey (£3,000-£5,000), and Self-Portrait by John Bellany (£3,000-£5,000).

Saturday, September 14th – Bonhams, Chichester. A 17-ton truck featuring an 80sq m mural by graffiti artist Banksy, which is his largest commercial work. Painted in 2000 for the Turbo Zone International Circus, the Volvo truck with the prophetic title Laugh Now But One Day We'll Be in Charge is listed with an estimate of £1-£1.5 million.

Sunday, September 15th – Oliver Usher, Beamond House, Bellewstown, Co Meath. From the collections of June and Paul Byrne, to include three Waterford Crystal chandeliers, Kilkenny marble fireplaces, light fittings, paintings, clocks, garden statuary and a baby grand

Sunday, September 15th – Hegarty's Bandon. Contents of Mishells House, Bandon. More than 400 lots, to include a fine Regency rosewood cross-banded foldover card table (€2,000-€3,000), paintings by Kenneth Webb and Samuel Prout and a selection of silver, clocks and collectables.

Monday, September 16th – Whyte's. Irish and International Art Sale at the RDS. In excess of €1 million of important art, to include Jack B Yeats, Louis le Brocquy, May Guinness, Daniel O'Neill, Nathaniel Hone, and Basil Blackshaw, along with international artists such as Andy Warhol and Raoul Dufy. This sale also includes The Butler Gallery Benefit Auction of Contemporary Art.

Tuesday, September 17th – Adam's, St Stephen's Green. Fine Jewellery and Watches sale, to include pieces by the world's top jewellery houses, Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, as well as important Art Deco
