Enniskerry lodge has sea and mountain views

Ballinteskin Lodge, Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, a pretty house set on one-and-a-half acres of garden with sea and mountain views, will be auctioned on May 31st, when Jackson-Stops expects offers in the region of £450,000. The four-bedroom home was built as a bungalow 30 years ago. The present owners bought it five years ago and have made many improvements, including opening up the attic via a staircase from the hall, building on a sunroom and sun deck, remodelling the kitchen and creating a dining area. Central heating is oil fired and windows are double glazed.

Situated in a private lane, the house is pebble dashed and painted a pale pink with contrasting pale blue imitation window shutters. The colours and flowered bower at the front of the house give an immediate Mediterranean feel. A tiled entrance porch leads into a hall which has a double-height pine ceiling.
