The continuing demand for apartments in Dublin is encouraging developers to seek planning permission for new schemes. P.J. Walls Ltd has just secured approval for 168 apartments at Rosemount Office Park, at Glandore Road, Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9. Dublin Corporation has also granted approval for 51 apartments, 12 studio workshop units and over 30,000 sq ft of office space at 22 to 26 Talbot Street and 53/54 Mabbot Lane.

Creevagh Property Partnership has lodged a planning application for 18 apartments at Creevagh, Dundrum Road, Dundrum, Dublin 14, while Karl Construction is seeking approval to develop 70 apartments on a site bounded by the Golden Bridge Convent and Thomas David Street West in Inchicore, Dublin 8.

In the city centre, the planners have also granted permission for a building at 15/17 Merchants Quay to be converted into a 200-bedroom hostel. Meanwhile, Lido Construction has secured permission for 52 two and three storey houses at Templeogue Wood, Dublin 6W.
