£200,000 for leasehold of Wicklow St shop sought

With Dublin's Grafton Street in Dublin continuing to benefit from the economic boom and with no sign of any shops becoming vacant, key money has been rising in adjoining streets. This week, agents Druker Fanning are seeking a premium of £200,000 for the leasehold interest in the RX fashion store at 15 Wicklow Street. The shop has 900 sq ft, with a basement area store of 600 sq ft; the premises is rented at £34,000 a year. The same agency recently secured £121,000 at auction for the leasehold interest in Griffith shoe shop at the junction of Wicklow Street and South William Streets.
