Visiting Havana in Donnybrook may uplift the fashion spirit, but depress the pocket. Owner Nikki Creedon’s eye and sense of style have earned her a special place in the hearts of Dublin’s fashionable well-heeled elite and the avant garde designers she has consistently championed since the boutique opened in 1994.

This season, for example, she is introducing Tom Binns, the hugely successful Belfast-born jewellery designer now based in the US, whose fans include Michelle Obama. This necklace, made from tangled white crystal and pearls, is from his Regal Rocker collection and costs a cool €3,375. Creedon is also the exclusive stockist of Haider Ackermann, Simone Rocha, Ann Demeulemeester, Junya Watanabe and Yohji Yamamoto amongst others. Jonathan Saunders, recently nominated for the British Fashion Council's "New Establishment" award, is another recent introduction. See havanaboutique.ie
