A report from Longford District Court yesterday headed "Woman alleges 400 nuisance calls in one day" said Garda Austin Woods had denied breaching bail conditions agreed at an earlier court. In fact, after initially denying the charge, he later withdrew his denial.

We have been requested by two former Dublin county councillors, Mr Sean Barrett and Mr J. H. Dockrell, to point out that a report in the editions of April 21st may have given a misleading impression of their voting record on the rezoning of Cherrywood, in Carrickmines Valley.

The two Fine Gael councillors have pointed out that minutes of the relevant Dublin County Council meetings in November 1993 show that they voted against the county manager's recommendation that the lands in question be rezoned at four houses per acre, with the provision of a district shopping centre. The motion referred to in our report which was proposed by the two councillors would have retained the previous zoning of the lands for lower-density residential development, at one house per acre, and therefore could not be said to have contributed to opening up Cherrywood to more intensive development.

A report headed "Credit union league seeks clarity on regulator" in Monday's editions quoted Mr Jim McMahon, president of the Irish League of Credit Unions, as saying ". . . we will be included in the [new Single Regulatory] Authority whether we like it or not. The word "will" should have read "may ".
