Sebastian Barry will read from The Whereabouts of Eneas McNulty at 7 p.m. in Fred Hanna's, Nassau Street, Dublin on February 26th and at 7 p.m. on February 27th at Keohane's Bookshop, Castle Street, Sligo. An incorrect time was given in Wednesday's editions.

A report in yesterday's editions said that the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands had expressed regret that it was not possible to buy the Nugent manuscript because of lack of resources. We have been asked to state that Ms de Valera said that a substantial supplemental grant had been earmarked by her Department for this purpose but taking account of factors such as assessment of the intrinsic value of the manuscript and the possible impact on the Library's ability to acquire other important materials in the years ahead, she believed the approach adopted was the correct one.
