Telecoms companies face fines of up to 10 per cent of annual revenues if they fail to comply with notices issued by a new commission for telecommunications regulation. The penalties are proposed in a new Communications Bill. The Bill will give more power to local authorities to control telecoms operators digging up the roads and measures to persuade operators to share masts.
