Telecoms regulator Ms Etain Doyle announced an overhaul of the telephone numbering scheme following an extensive audit of numbers in use. Changes will affect less than 10 per cent of numbers and will focus on a small number of areas including Donegal, Navan, Letterkenny, Kilkenny, Castlebar, Athlone and Sligo.
