AN American company that manufactures fibre optic components yesterday announced the creation of 30 jobs at its plant in Charleville, Co Cork. FONS Ltd already employs 14 people and plans to create another 16 jobs within three years. The company manufactures a wide range of cable assemblies which are used for interconnecting various fibre optic networks and hardware devices and is exported primarily to European markets.
