Lookers, the Charles Hurst car dealership group, 29.9 per cent controlled by Woodchester GE, has increased its pre-tax profit from £1.8 million sterling (€2.7 million) to £3.2 million (€4.9 million) in the six months ended March 31st 1999. Sales fell from £277 million to £264 million. The interim dividend is being maintained at 2.6p per share.
