HJ Heinz has acquired a majority stake in Polish food processor Pudliszki from two investment groups - Chicago/Europe Partners and an affiliate of the British-based investment fund Invesco. Based in Pudliszki, 200 miles west of Warsaw, the company is Poland's largest producer of ketchup. Set up in 1920, it also markets tomato concentrate, canned vegetables and cooking sauces.
