The Tanaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Ms Harney, has named the 14 members of the new group on future skills.
The group, which will be chaired by Dr Chris Horn of Iona Technologies, has been set up to identify the skill needs of different sectors.
The 14 members appointed to the group include Mr Peter Lillis of IDA Ireland, Mr Seamus Gallen of Forbairt, Mr Colm Regan and Mr Lorcan O'Raghallaigh of Forfas and Mr Roger Fox of Fas.
Representing government departments are Mr Ronald Long and Mr Seamus O'Morain, assistant secretaries at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mr Paddy McDonagh from the Department of Education and Science and Mr Eugene O'Sullivan from the Department of Finance.
Other members appointed to the group are Mr John Hayden of the Higher Education Authority, Dr Sean McDonagh of RTC (Dundalk) and Trinity College's Professor Frances Ruane.
