ALMOST all of the 150 staff at the Farah clothing plant in Kiltimagh, Co Mayo, were laid off indefinitely yesterday following a fire at the company's Galway plant a fortnight ago. The lay-offs are due to a shortage of raw material for the production line. Some 80 workers in Galway are already laid-off because of the blaze. There is no indication of when work in either Galway or Kiltimagh will resume.
