SEVEN Irish food companies have been granted EU grant aid under the FFOGA scheme for expansion which will create 150 new jobs. The total grant aid from is £3.2 million, of which £2.7 million comes from FEOGA and £500,000 from Forbairt.

Castlemahon Food Products in Limerick is creating 40 new jobs; Alabay in Cootehill, Co Cavan, 26 new jobs; Feldhues in Clones, Co Monaghan, 25 new jobs; Carroll Meats in Tullamore, Co Offaly, 21 new jobs; Talley Foods in Cappoquin, Co Waterford, 18 new jobs; Best Food Services in Dublin, 10 new jobs and Callan Bacon Company in Co Kilkenny, nine new jobs.
