Donovan B of I treasury head

Bank of Ireland has appointed Mr Denis Donovan head of treasury in succession to Mr Tony O'Shea, who is leaving the group to pursue other interests. Mr Donovan, a director and chief operating officer of international business at Bank of Ireland Asset Management, joined the group in 1985 from the Central Bank.

Pyramid Consulting, the IT solutions and software company, has appointed Mr Brendan O'Malley as e-commerce consultant. He is a winner of the Webspring Student Web design competition run by Parallel.

Ms Maura Beamish has been appointed sales executive with Campbell Freight Agencies (Ireland), with responsibility for Munster. Appian Traffic Technologies, the traffic management company which has systems in St Stephen's Green and Dublin Airport, has appointed Mr John Finan as non-executive director.

Ms Deirdre Hoffman has been appointed managing director of Marlborough International's new office specialist recruitment organisation which encompasses Sylvia Grey in Northern Ireland and the newly acquired Ann O'Brien Personnel Consultants in the Republic.

Mr John Mooney has been appointed account manager with Xnet Information Systems, the provider of computer stored backup systems. Mr Anders Nordhoff has joined the company as a technical consultant and Ms Harriet Robinson has been appointed systems engineer.

Ms Orlaith Blaney has been appointed to the board of McCannErickson, the advertising agency. Her clients include Bank of Ireland, Glanbia, Boots Healthcare and Motorola. Ms Clodagh Fleming has been appointed account director and Mr Shay Madden and Mr Jonathan Stanistreet have been appointed creative group heads.

NRC, the recruitment agency, has appointed Mr Paul O'Kane as managing consultant of construction and technical engineering at the company's Dublin branch. Mr O'Kane, who joined the agency two years ago, will be responsible for the construction, architecture and technical engineering sectors in his new position.

The Marketing Society has appointed Ms Bernadette Coyne as chairwoman. Ms Coyne is a director of Lansdowne Market Research. Mr Liam Fitzgerald, a director of United Drug, and a director of UniDrug Distribution Group in Britain, has been appointed vice-chairman.
