The Regional Media Bureau of Ireland (www.rmbi.ie) is using Informix database technology to run its new online newspaper publication site. It will hold news from the group's 51 separate titles, plus a messaging service for readers and a full archiving facility which will allow Irish communities around the world to keep up to date with news at home. Using Informix Dynamic Server, a range of different information can be stored in one database, including photography. As a result, users will be able to search all the current and archived issues of the title to which they subscribe.
