Best bets on brasserie lease

SAVILLS WILL shortly be inviting best and final offers for the lease of the Venu brasserie and bar in Dublin’s South Anne Street which had been run for the past three years by Charles Guilbaud.

Daragh Cronin of the estate agency said they had “probably the best response for years” to their announcement that the fully equipped 125-seater was to let in the run up to Christmas. “We had more than 30 serious inquiries and 15 viewings from operators with Michelin stars to others with more than 30 restaurants.”

Whoever moves into the basement restaurant is likely to have the option of paying a rent of €150,000 per annum or 10 per cent of the turnover.

Kiehls, Pandora in Dundrum

DUNDRUM TOWN CENTRE continues to strengthen its line up of traders as it heads for the busiest period of the year.

Two international brands are on the way: the New York-based skin and haircare specialists Kiehls are to open later this month adjacent to the Danish jewellery brand Pandora. Both lettings will be located next to the main entrance to the House of Fraser on level one of the centre.

It will be Kiehls first suburban stand-alone store in Ireland. Owned by LOreal, it was founded in New York’s East Village more than 150 years ago. Pandora was founded in Copenhagen in 1982 and its jewellery is currently sold in more than 55 countries.
