Down SHC/Ballycran 1-13 Ballygalget 0-9:Ballycran bridged a 12-year gap and duly collected their 21st senior hurling title with victory over Ballygalget in St Patrick's Park, Portaferry yesterday.

The winners were always in command, out hurling their opponents who relied on the free-taking of Eoin Clarke and Johnny McGrattan to keep them in the game.

The introduction of Simon Wilson to the Ballycran attack in the final quarter assured them of the title. He quickly claimed a goal and two points.
