All members of golf clubs over 21 in Ulster will pay an once-off levy next season to help defray the cost of establishing the Centre of Excellence at The Hilton, Templepatrick.
A motion to the a.g.m. of the Ulster Branch, held at Shandon Park, from the provincial council to levy each member with a £6.00 charge for the year was passed almost unanimously.
It was obvious that a huge majority of the representatives from the 93 clubs (out of 119) in attendance were very much in favour of the minimal charge.
