Drogheda United 1 UCD 2UCD CAME from behind to advance to the next round of the competition thanks to a goalkeeping error that handed them victory. Drogheda goalkeeper Paul Skinner got it all wrong after 76 minutes when he allowed David McMillan's relatively harmless cross into the net.
United hit the front after 35 minutes with the simplest of goals as Michael Daly rose unopposed to meet Joe Kendrick’s corner and head home. But the home side’s advantage lasted barely five minutes when Chris Mulhall cut in from the right before planting his shot into the bottom corner.
Skinner’s costly error proved enough to gift College the victory.
