Appearing in all four finals, Wesley carried off three of the Leinster schoolboys hockey trophies, adding the junior and under-13 titles at Grange Road yesterday to last week's minor laurels.
The junior side, fielding five members of the squad which had lost the senior final to Kilkenny, showed their prowess in beating Mount Temple 5-2.
Wesley, though, led only by 2-1 at the interval and it was not until the fourth quarter that they pulled well clear, notably when John Blakeney put Andrew Walker through to make it 3-1. Two goals by Graeme McCoy added gloss to the tally.
Walker and David Roche had scored in an evenly contested first half in which Eddie Hipwell replied for Mount Temple, whose captain and man-of-the match Ken Treacy struck a well deserved second goal on the final whistle.
