Sporting Fingal 4 Bray Wanderers 2:Eamon Zayed proved a thorn in the side of his former club as Sporting Fingal booked a place in the FAI Ford Cup Final with a comprehensive victory at Morton Stadium.

Zayed scored twice in the first 11 minutes, volleying home Alan Kirby’s cross on four minutes, before doubling his tally from close range after Seagulls goalkeeper Chris O’Connor had done well to keep out Conan Byrne’s free-kick.

Kirby had been fouled in the build-up and he added to his influential display on 22 minutes as he fired home a cross by Zayed.

Bray half-time substitute Gary McCabe gave his side hope with 16 minutes to go when he fired home a brilliant free-kick.

John Mulroy did score a late consolation for Bray, but at that stage the party was in full flow among the Sporting Fingal supporters as they dream of Cup glory in just their second season.
