Everton striker Andrew Johnson has been ruled out of his side's trip to face  Manchester United tomorrow night with a hamstring problem.

The 25-year-old England forward also missed the weekend game at Charlton, but the Merseyside club's medical staff do not expect the injury to keep him sidelined in the long term.

Manager David Moyes told his club's official website, www.evertonfc.com: "He did it in the Bolton game and tried to play on with it.

"We don't think it's too bad, but it doesn't look as if he will play at United."
