Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has admitted a Football Association charge of using abusive and/or insulting words to a match official.

Ferguson was charged after confronting referee Mark Clattenburg at half-time of United's game at Bolton on November 24th.

The Scot was unhappy at some physical tackles going unpunished during the first half of the match, which United lost 1-0.

He has not requested a personal hearing and a regulatory commission will consider the charge in due course.
