Premiership round-up:Didier Drogba gunned down Watford with a stunning treble as Chelsea briefly moved level on points with rivals Manchester United at the top of the Premiership.

Drogba, a constant threat throughout, slammed home his second treble of the season with goals in the 27th, 36th and 69th minutes to help Chelsea beat Watford 4-0.

The Ivory Coast hitman, who has now scored 14 this season, also turned provider to help Andriy Shevchenko find the back of the net in the 53rd minute.

Super sub Matt Jackson sealed Wigan's fourth successive  Premiership victory as the home side made the most of wild and windswept conditions at the JJB Stadium to beat struggling Charlton 3-2.

Jackson headed Wigan's third goal in the 78th minute just three minutes after arriving on the pitch. Despite two goals from in-form Darren Bent, Charlton were unable to grab a late equaliser.

Sheffield United salvaged a remarkable point with two goals in 133 seconds to leave Barclays Premiership high-flyers Bolton without a win in four matches.

Zat Knight's header put Fulham in front on 56 minutes. However, Cole came off the bench on 66 minutes and headed against the bar from a Gary O'Neil free-kick before toe-ending the ball over the line.

Chris Sutton's maiden goal for Aston Villa secured his club's first away league win of the season against Everton.

Veteran Sutton struck with a neat header just before the break and Villa fought gallantly throughout the second period to hang onto the points.

Massimo Maccarone came off the bench to claim victory for Middlesbrough over West Ham.

The £8.15million Italian struck with 15 minutes remaining to settle a game which had limped through the first half but increased in tempo the longer it went on.

Manchester City and Newcastle drew 0-0 in today's early kick-off, leaving Glen Roeder's men remaining in the bottom three of the Premiership.
