Ireland's Des Smyth and Argentina's Vicente Fernandez have been named in the Rest of the World team for the third UBS Cup against the United States at the Seaside Course at Sea Island golf club next week.
Fernandez and Smyth join captain Tony Jacklin on a team that includes 40-49 year olds Nick Faldo, Barry Lane, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie, Eduardo Romero and Ian Woosnam, and 50-and-older players Rodger Davis, Carl Mason and Bill Longmuir.
Smyth, who has played on two Ryder Cup Teams for Europe, will be playing in the UBS Cup for the second time. He had a perfect 3-0 record in UBS Cup matches in 2001.
