Sligo 0-13 Galway 0-12 AET – 0-10 each after normal time:SLIGO ADVANCED to the final when they deservedly defeated a Galway side who won the All-Ireland minor title three years ago.

Galway were in trouble when they led by just 0-6 to 0-5 at the break having played with a strong wind at Tuam Stadium yesterday.

They hit three points without reply in the opening five minutes of the second half, but Sligo took over from there and forced extra-time. Sligo laid down a big marker when points from David Maye and James Hynes saw them lead by 0-12 to 0-10 at the end of the first period of extra-time.

Hynes extended the lead and, while subs Rory Gaffney and Pat Mark Ó Fatharta scored for Galway, Sligo held out for victory.
