The FAI are expected to resume the business of finding a successor for Mick McCarthy today when three of the association's officers travel to England in order to interview the remaining candidates on the shortlist.

Kevin Fahy, John Delaney and Milo Corcoran will meet up with Bryan Hamilton before embarking on a busy programme of meetings.

Bryan Robson, Kevin Moran and Philippe Troussier are amongst the men expected to undergo second interviews over the next couple of days. The refusal of John Aldridge to comment on whether he is in the running has fuelled speculation that he has also been granted a place in the second stage.

The process is due to be wrapped up by Friday, after which the three FAI officials will, with Hamilton still advising them, settle on the man they want.
