Fifth seed Greg Rusedski beat American qualifier David Witt 76 (7/4), 6-3, 6-4 in their first round match early this morning. After a first set tie-beak, the 24year-old needed just one break of Witt's serve in each of the other sets as his opponent, world ranked 208, struggled with a leg injury that forced him off the court in the third set for treatment.
