Wales 28 Barbarians 31: Gavin Henson set up a try for the hosts on his international return for Wales but is was Leinster's Isa Nacewa who grabbed the decisive score as the Barbarians beat Wales 31-28 at the Millennium Stadium.

Henson, making his first international appearance since facing Ireland in 2009, created the opening Wales try for wing George North with a pass that appeared to be a yard forward.

The Barbarians hit back to lead 19-14 at the break as Iosefa Tekori, Nacewa and captain Sergio Parisse crossed, with Morgan Stoddart getting Wales' second try.

Further scores from Mike Phillips and Aled Brew looked to have given Wales the win with Stephen Jones kicking eight points on his 100th cap, but Mathieu Bastareaud got a try back for the Barbarians before Nacewa profited from a superb Willie Mason pass to put in a sublime finish with the last play of the game.

Afterwards, Henson admitted he was off the pace during the defeat.

"I am very proud today, getting back into that Welsh jersey," Henson told BBC Sport. "I have really enjoyed the week, getting back in and playing today. But I am bitterly disappointed with my performance, there were some bad decisions I made.

"It was a good game to be involved in and it was a pity we lost in the end."

Henson had said prior to the game that he felt it could be his "last chance" to secure a place in coach Warren Gatland's plans for the World Cup.

When asked if he thought he had done enough to convince Gatland, the 29-year-old added: "I am not sure. I think I showed glimpses of what I could possibly do.

"It is not my decision, we will just have to wait and see. I would love to be involved in this summer's matches and the World Cup, but whether I did enough today I'm not sure. We will look at the video and see whether the coach wants me or not, but it was a good day and I enjoyed it."
