Italy coach Nick Mallett brought Carlo Del Fava into his squad today for the Six Nations match against France after the lock was cleared of misconduct.

Forward Tommaso Reato has also been added to the squad for the game in Paris on March 9th, the Italian Rugby Federation said on its website (www.federugby.it).

Del Fava was cited for an incident with flyhalf Stephen Jones during the 47-8 defeat by Wales last Saturday but a disciplinary committee said yesterday it was not satisfied Del Fava had committed a foul.

Team mate Mauro Bergamasco was banned for 13 weeks though after the flanker was found guilty of deliberately placing his finger in the eye of Wales fullback Lee Byrne.

Bergamasco had already been left out of the squad pending the hearing.
