Marcus Horan has failed to overcome a calf injury and will play no part in Sunday's Heineken Cup showdown with Leinster at Lansdowne Road. Prop Federico Pucciariello, who started in the recent Celtic League win over Edinburgh, retains his place at loose head.

Horan sustained a slight tear to a calf muscle during scrummaging practice before the European Cup quarter-final against Perpignan.  Coach Declan Kidney had given the Irish international as much time as possible to prove his fitness.

Denis Leamy, though, has shown no adverse effects to his problematic ankle and is selected to start as is outhalf Ronan O'Gara who has been out of the side lately with a badly gashed knee.

Anthony Horgan retains the right wing berth while John Kelly will wear the number 13 shirt.

Shane Horgan and Malcolm O'Kelly will make their 100th appearances for Leinster when they take to the field on Sunday.

Indeed, Horgan is the only change to the side that came from behind to beat the Llanelli Scarlets 30-22 last weekend.  He replaces Rob Keaney who is named on the substitutes bench.

"To reach 100 caps is something that I never thought of achieving when I started playing. I remember my debut against Ulster in Donnybrook in 1998," said Horgan.

"I was thrown in at the deep end and I was still quite young. Even though we lost that game I really enjoyed the experience and it was only then that I realised that it was the first steps on a ladder."

Horgan acknowledges the fierce competitiveness when Leinster play Munster and says it is a privilege to be involved in a game like Sunday's.

"It's hard to compare this game with past encounters," he says. "It will be a very difficult game, but one that hopefully the public can enjoy. Our focus is strong. We know that what has happened before will count for little if we don't win on Sunday."

O'Kelly is joined in the second row by Bryce Williams while props Reggie Corrigan and Will Green partner hooker Brian Blaney in the front row.  Brian O'Driscoll captains the side from centre.

O'Kelly believes Sunday will be a special day.  "It's great to think that we will have such a fantastic opportunity to play against each other in a game with such high stakes.

"With the pressure and the interest in the game it feels more like an international. Neither side can take anything for granted. We're confident in our ability and are all looking forward to the game."

O'Kelly has urged all Leinster supporters to get behind the team. "Try to be as vocal and as passionate as you can be. Every voice counts," he said.
