Over one hundred pairs were in action at the RGSC in Kingswood on Sunday in the final of the 2001 Dublin Mixed Scotch pitch and putt foursomes, with the mother and son team of Rose Collins and Liam Collins from the CYMC/LC course in Fairview proving the best around with a superb 36-hole aggregate of 23 up.

That was good enough for a slender victory as they were just a shot ahead of the Stella Sheridan and Tommy Collins combination from Glenville.

Next Sunday will see provincial strokeplay action in three counties. At Tullamore, the Leinster Ladies Strokeplay Championships will be decided, where Glenville's Peggy Campbell defends the women's senior title.

Kilbeggan in County Westmeath hosts the Leinster Men's Strokeplay finals, where Lucan's David Hayden is hoping to retain his crown.

And at the Lakeside club in Templemore, Co Tipperary, six Munster championships will be decided over two days. On Saturday, the team events in senior, intermediate and junior grades are scheduled, while the individual championships take place on Sunday. Jason O'Regan (Tralee) is the defending men's senior champion.
