Ireland's Fiona Doyle finished seventh in the final of the 200 metres breaststroke at the Fina short-course World Cup in Eindhoven this evening.
The 21-year-old from Dublin recorded a time of 2:27.14, over 10 seconds behind Danish winner Rikke Miller Pedersen, who won gold in a time of 2:17.05
Doyle had swam a faster time of 2:26.86 in also finishing seventh in the heat in the morning.
The University of Calgary student missed out on the finals of the 50 metres breaststroke after finishing in ninth place overall after the heats.
Swimming in heat one, Doyle was pipped for fourth place by Rebecca Ejdervik of Sweden, who claimed the final space in the final in a time of 30.72. Doyle tipped the wall in a time of 30.80.
