A classy opening half display from St Benildus College was enough to see the Kilmacud school overcome Celbridge.

Benildus held a deserved 0-8 to 0-2 lead at the break. Within five minutes of the restart, Celbridge's Padraig Fitzgerald had scored the game's only goal.

However, two wasted goal chances thereafter ensured that was as far as the Celbridge revival went.
