Celtic manager Martin O'Neill believes his side have nothing to fear in Spain tonight.
The Glasgow giants missed out on qualifying for the prestigious second group stages of the Champions League by a single point. But they went out with their heads held high with home wins against Juventus, Porto and Rosenborg - although abject defeats in Portgual and Sweden soured the experience.
And the Parkhead boss feels those home performances will give Celtic hope in the UEFA Cup third-round match against a side who have been runners-up in the last two Champions League finals.
O'Neill has vowed to go out on the attack against Valencia despite injuries to key players. Winger Didier Agathe has been ruled out for at least three months with knee ligament damage while the fitness of Alan Thompson and Joos Valgaeren is still causing some concern. Both will be given fitness tests, but even if they fail to make it the Celtic boss will refuse to employ negative tactics.
O'Neill said: "Like anything else when you are playing away from home you want to try and get yourself a goal.
"We've got to be positive because if you are penned in all evening the chances are you will concede. While it' s going to be very difficult in light of some players that might be missing, we still have to be positive."
